MARCHA SPONSORIZADA - SPONSORED WALK

¡Hola  a tod@os ! Os propongo una iniciativa conjunta de META y AMTE (Asociación Murciana de Terapias Ecuestres) para fin de año. ¿¡Que hay mejor que terminar el año disfrutando del medio ambiente y además ayudando a los que más lo necesitan!? ¡Apuntaté a nuestra Marcha Sponsorizada! 

Hello everyone! META and AMTE (Murcian Asociation of  Riding for the Disabled we would like to propose a joint iniciative for New Year. How about ending the year 2012 sorounded by Nature and helping those who need it most!? Join us in our Sponsored Walk!

La Marcha Patrocinada tendrá lugar el día 30 de Diciembre, sobre las 10.00 de la mañana y saldrá desde el restaurante El Mirador de Gebas.

The Sponsored walk will take place on 30th Decembre at around 10.00 am from the restaurant "El Mirador de Gebas"

La ruta tendrá una longitud de unos 5 kilómetros con una dificultad facil y transcurrirá por el Paisaje natural de los Barrancos de Gebas.

The walk will be around 5 kilometers long with an easy diffficulty through the Protected area of the Barrancos de Gebas

El dinero que recaudemos ayudará a financiar nuestras terapias ecuestres para adultos, jóvenes y niños vulnerables y en peligro de exclusión por sus problemas físicos, psicológicos, psíquicos o emocionales.

The money we raise will help fund our riding therapies for the disadvantaged children and adults as well as those vulnerables because of their physical, psycological or emotional problems.

Es muy sencillo. Los participantes tienen que pagar 5€ para inscribirse. Este dinero se destina a la comida y bebida del participante. La idea es que cada persona que se registra debe conseguir que otra/s, ya sea amiga, familiar o incluso una empresa, le patrocine por kilómetro recorrido. Así la persona que patrocina puede destinar la cantidad de dinero que crea oportuna por los kilómetros que recorra el participante, por ejemplo, 1€/ km, 2€/km, 5€/km...El total serán 5 kilómetros.

 Cuantas más personas o empresas te patrocinen más dinero recaudarás para nuestra iniciativa.

La persona que más recaude recibirá una clase de equitación o paseo gratis para dos personas en el Centro Ecuestre Meta.

Al registrarse recibirás un formulario de patrocinio. Para registrarte manda un email a veronica.cknowles@gmail.com o meta@meta.nom.es  con el asunto marcha patrocinada.

Its very simple.  The participants have to pay 5 € to register. This money will pay the participants luch. The idea is that those who take part have to find others (friends, family or even a busines) that will sponsor them per walked kilometer. The sponsor can give per kilometer the amount they conseider, for example, 1€ per K, 2€/K, 5€...Total amount: 5K. The participant who can raise the most money wiill receive a free riding lesson or hack for two at the Meta Horse Riding Centre.

Al final de la mañana tuvimos una visita muy especial: Papá Noel vino con su corcel Magic a repartir regalitos a los más pequeños ¡ Menuda sorpresa!

 Before lunch time we had a very special visit: Father Christmas accompanied by Magic to give presents to the younger kids. What a surprise!

FERIA NAVIDEÑA - CHRISTMAS FAYRE

Como cada año, nos gustaría invitaros a nuestra Feria Navideña el día 9 de Diciembre

We would like to invite everyone to our Christmas Fayre on 9th December.



Tendrá lugar en las instalaciones del Centro Ecuestre Meta, a partir de las 10.30

The Fayre will take place at Meta Riding Centre, starting at 10.30

La entrada es libre y todos los niños menores de 12 años podrán darse un paseo en pony o a caballo gratis

Free entrance for everyone. Free Pony/horse rides for under 12 years old

Habrán muchos puestos para hacer las últimas compras y regalos de Navidad. Todo lo que el centro recuade será financiar nuestro último rescata, una yegua preciosa llamada Sabba.

There will be lots of Stalls so that we can all do our Christmas Shopping. All the money we raise will go into Sabba's upkeep, our latest rescue.

Nuestos alumnos de META participarán en un espectáculo ecuestre sorpresa.

Our META pupils will take part in an equestrian show.

Habrán muchas sopresas como una gran riffa con muchos premios, reglaos, barbacoa, dulces y bebidas navideñas y la esperadísima visita de Papa Noel.

There will be lots of surprises like a special raffle with lots of prizes: free riding lessons, META t-shirst, AMTE broches, Christmas gifts...; BBQ; Christmas sweets and drinks and  Father Chistmas' visit.

Y mucho más: la caja de Pandora, adivina mi nombre y llevame a casa, una subasta especial por clamor popular... 

Por último pero no por ello menos importante, la Asociación Murciana de Terapias Ecuestres AMTE pondrá su propio puesto informativo

And much more: Lucky Dip and Guess the name for the kids and by special request a Christmas Auction.

Last but not least AMTE, our Association which takes care of Riding for the Disabled, will put up their stall to sell hand made articles and to give out their information.

Halloween Show 2012

What a great time we had during our spooktacular Halloween Show!!

We got all fancy for the occasion while we where waiting for the people to arrive

HALLOWEEN SHOW 2012

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Come and join us on Sunday 4th November. As usual we are celebrating the Best Show of the Year.

Starting at 10:30 there will be lost of prizes. Entrance fee only 1€ and you get a raffle ticket. You can win free riding lessons and lots surprises like trick or treat!

BBQ, drinks and candy as we always do. Don't miss out on the best hod dogs in town!

Everybody, moms and dads included, can take part in our fancy dress parade- starting at 10:45.

Fiesta faces will be painting faces for the occasion and Susie will have her special English sweets stall.

Summer hols are over

The Summer hols are over and Autumn is trying to make a show although the horses are still sweating and the temperatures are hovering between 25º and 30º - not even dropping at night!

We’ve suffered every which way from the elements– extreme heat, broiling sun, drought, tornados, flash floods…………..no snow yet thank goodness!

Camps, Pony Mornings and Pony Schooldays. META cooking is still a fave rave. Yummy!

Veronica showed us how to make chocolate and biscuit cake– lots of choc sauce! – and some Spanish style doughnuts called ‘Buñuelos’that went down a real treat, fun to make and delish to eat!

We had visits from new Belgian friends and from our old faithfuls:- Nathan, Abigail, Zara, Amy Long, Talitha, Laura and Emilyand the Todd girls (we all had to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Louise. That was fun).

Asher spent the summer at Camp Americawhere he was given the position of Equine Advisor – Amazing! He’s now started Equine Studies at AberystwythUniversity. Hi Asher!

Becky is doing Equine Studies at a posh College in Gloucestershire. The other day they all went to HOYS. Nice eh? Hi Becky!

Our Champagne Hacks are going down a treat. We’ve found a fantastic Cava that everybody thoroughly enjoys after a ride through the lemon orchards.

In August we had an excursion from a Summer Camp in Sierra Espuña, 60 Spanish children between the ages of 3 yrs and 12 yrs old –absolutely manic but lots of fun.

Now we’re getting ready for half term, already had the Robertson family – some Scottish schools have started half term already. It was Holly’s 11^th Birthday and she celebrated with a META riding class on Lily. Emma rode Tinker– it was good!

Not only are we getting ready for half term but starting to plan our Halloween Show, one of the most important events of the year – Sunday November 4^th this year.

AND we’ve started something very special –META Formation School – designed to train specialists in Horse Assisted Therapy, just horses at the moment but who knows, could be dogs, exotic birds, farm animals…….?

Last but not least METAhas been asked to save a mare. The only way to do this is to give her to our RDA Association and ask for donations for her upkeep.
