The bank holiday show was great fun. It was a family day and all were invited to take part in the Gymkhana Games.
Two teams battled it out to decide whether they were going to win trophies or medals, something for everyone.
Ellie riding Golfo and Sherri riding Tango gave us a great demonstration of Show Jumping.
Many thanks to Pamela for coming and setting up her Craft stall and to Kimberley’s Kones – the Ice CreamVan. Nicky Driffield surprised us with a wonderful selection of hand made jewellery, arts and crafts too.
As always there were great raffle prizes – all eyes were on the free META riding class but the bottle of champagne was also something to be won!
The META BBQ almost went down the drain. We left the bacon out of the fridge whilst we were organising and guess what! Within seconds 2 permanently hungry dogs, namely Deacon and Queen, had downed the lot leaving no trace except a scrap of the plastic bag from the butcher’s. Fortunately the butcher saved the day. He was able to replace the meat and we could offer our special bacon and sausage ‘bocadillos’ which, as usual, went down a treat.
Is there going to be an end of term Show? Hopefully we can organise something before everyone goes away to the beach the weekend of June 17th.
Keep your eyes glued to the Blog for news.
